Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases led to an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the states authorities again releasing a more stringent directive regarding these situations. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell's experience in Charleston has led to her serving as co-anchor and investigative reporter and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before joining Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell, as well as being the anchor of Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She has reported on occasions like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards, as well co-hosting Pre ShowArrivals Shows at The Emmys.
