The summer of 2021 is expected to be a time of uncertainty regarding how we can continue the important human connection that was enjoyed by Rotary over the years. Although the mantra of hands face space' is sure to be part of our ongoing program, it's clear that the confidence building is evident and connections between face-to-face are being made. Rotary, however, has developed. There is still a level of uncertainty that will continue to grow as we progress through summer 2021. It is yet to be seen how the human connections that Rotary members valued in the past will continue. Although the "hands facing space" idea is likely to be a part of the regular routine at the club it is clear that a sense of confidence is developing, and more people are making face-to faces connections. Rotary is also changing. Rotary is a network that fosters long-lasting friendships. Our methods have been refined to maintain online meetings in our businesses, while reintroducing services and social activities in the face-to-face method. In order to create a new exciting future, we've taken this opportunity and combined these with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies. It was encouraging to learn that 75 percent of Rotary clubs plan to continue their "business regular" routines. This summer the majority of Rotary members were out with their families and friends, working on various initiatives, including beach and river clean-ups, litter removal and beach cleanups.
